"king of wishful thinking"- go west |
] |
Okay, so its been a few years. Here‘s what has happened in a nut shell. Fall of 05 I met and started dating Robert. My father died that November and that’s was the rest of 05. moving on to 06 I started to go to Nassau Community College. It’s been really fun I met some of the best people. I am in a club there: Nassau Concerts. From being in Concerts I have met some great bands and learned a lot about putting on shows. In summer of 07 my sister got engaged to a guy named Pete I think they met in early 06 not sure. They will be getting married October 10th 2008. Nothing exciting has happened to me in the past two years. There has been a lot of hardships and stress. Recently I decided that I wanted a break from Robert. I couldn’t take seriousness of a relationship that wasn’t going anywhere. Since then I have gotten into some of my old ways. Especially being promiscuous and drinking a lot. And with that has caused the old feelings of feeling emptiness and lost. I don’t know how I am and I am in no way attempting to find myself. It is as if I have given up on life. It’s just too hard. I go to school with girls who were born with silver spoons. They have the money, the clothes and the connections to get them threw life. While I have never had anything good. I grew up with an abusive mother and a drunk father who when I was 18 passed away. Now I am so poor that I don’t know where I will be this time next year. And these girls wine because juicy stopped producing their favorite color terry cloth pant. Once again in my life I feel I don’t have many friends. I rarely see Marissa because she is dating Thom. And now is moving in with him. Last year I was really close with this girl Danielle but she has since disappeared from everyone’s life. I have Robert who is great but its hard I feel I cant tell him a lot. Lopez and I had a week that we were really close but that ended L. I recently became closer to Dob than I ever thought I would, which is cool because he really is one of the coolest kids around. (although I still cant see why everyone is overly obsessed with him) Bre is becoming the one person I trust with everything and I love her for that. I see her more than I see my own family. I fear I have a crush on someone. I feel I could never tell this person because he doesn’t feel the same way. I know he doesn’t. and I feel it would ruin the relationship I have with this person. And losing what I do have with them would be horrible. I do feel this person is moving farther and farther away from me every time I see them. And with the most recent events I can understand why. That or maybe they figured out about the crush on their own and don’t want me to get the wrong idea. Idk I feel the crush will end soon. Its not a major factor in my life right now. I have to figure out where I am going to school next semester. My aunt wants me to go to Stony Brook at first I thought no way! But now I wouldn’t mind it. I could always dorm or live with either my sister or cousin, which wouldn’t be too bad. I still would love to go to Chicago with Bre so lets hope that doesn’t fall through. I have nothing left to say for now I guess I’ll be updating more often again.

You Know You're From Long Island When... |
You know someone who went to Chaminade.
Jones Beach Theater is the best place in the world to see a concert. CASE CLOSED!
Is it just me, or is every girl from Rockville Centre a bitch?
Billy Joel said it best, "Either you date a rich girl from the North Shore, or a cool girl from the South Shore."
What's the big deal about the Hamptons?
If you're not from Long Island or NYC, you're not really from New York.
You don't go to Manhattan, you go to "the City"
You know the Belt Parkway sucks!
You never, ever want to "change at Jamaica..."
You never realize you have an accent until you leave.
You know where at least one strip club is. You can name at least three bands that came from Long Island.
You curse. A lot.
Is Huntington really that cool? You've been to Utopia at least once.
The goddamn geese are everywhere!
If your parents didn't, your grandparents lived in the city.
At some point in your life you or someone you know has owned an animal that came from North Shore Animal League.
You actually remember when you felt safe swimming at Bar Beach and Hempstead Harbor.
Commack movie theatre scares you You walk around the mall aimlessly. You drive around your town with your friends, and that's the most exciting part of your evening.
On the weekend, your evening consists of seeing a movie, going bowling, or playing pool.
When you walk in the city and you see two men holding hands...it becomes normal to you.
No word ends in an ER, just an AH.
You feel like you know Howard Stern.
You live in the shadow of the greatest city in the world, but you never go there.
When you're away from Long Island, you love it and when you're there, you don't.
You know that the beach sucks during the day and is the most magical place in the world at night
You know the exact point at which Queens turns into Nassau simply on intuition.
You're still waiting for a bridge to Connecticut.
You've tried to use your father's monthly ticket to ride the LIRR. It worked.
No matter what you do, you end up at the diner.
Your distant future might involve the state of Florida.
High school sports aren't that important.
You've never been to Times Square on New Year's Eve.
You've tried to find the Amityville Horror house.
Each one of your diverse friends mercilessly makes fun of his own background.
You love that salty smell of the ocean.
No, you don't want mustard on that burger!
The most exciting day of your summer is when all tickets to every Jones Beach show go on sale.
You know White Castle is terrible for you and the food sucks. But, you periodically "Get the Crave"
You want the Yankees to stay in the Bronx, but would probably go to more games if they moved to Manhattan.
You can order a pizza pie and a soda and people will understand.
You felt slighted when Snapple sold out.
You don't associate Fire Island with gay men.
You wanted Hooters to open simply to piss off "decency" groups.
You watched a game show and wondered, "why are these people so happy that they won a trip to New York?"
You like The Brothers McMullen.
When you hear Billy Joel's "Scenes From an Italian Restaurant" you try to figure out what places on Long Island he's talking about.
You know that parts of the Godfather were filmed on LI.
You always liked Billy Joel, but as soon as you leave, you love Billy Joel.
At some point in your life, you've gone clamming.
You've been to the Tanger Outlets and came home with nothing to show for it.
You have or someone you know has fallen asleep on the LIRR and ended up in one of these three places; Babylon, Port Washington or Hicksville.
You have been to Mulcahay's on Thanksgiving Eve, the largest ladies night event of every year.
You've missed that "Drunk Train", the 2:42 out of Penn and had the dreaded wait until 5:30.
You think Islip MacArthur airport is cute and you enjoy watching it grow up.
Your parents took you to Nathans or Carvel
You hate the radio commercials for the Dublin Pub
Public beach? What's that?
You can correctly pronouce places like Happauge, Commack, Islip, Islandia, Massapequa.
You know the location of 6 malls and a dozen McDonalds and 36 7-11's.
You grew up thinking Chinese food was a basic food group.
You're used to driving down the street in December and seeing more light-up menorahs than you can shake a latka at. In fact, even your non-Jewish friends know what Matzoh is. And you've never driven more than 10 miles without seeing a temple.
Oh, your parents are from Brooklyn? So are mine!
Yes, admit it, you've cruised the Pike.
You can remember making up rules for ?Shotgun? calls in high school.
Your elementary school promoted dodge ball as the top gym activity.
You were upset when all the Roy Rogers turned into Wendy?s.
You consider nachos and cheese at the Coliseum to be a suitable dinner date.
You actually get these jokes and pass them on to other friends from Long Island.

>CANCER NEWS FROM JOHNS-HOPKINS !!!! > >No plastics in micro. >No water bottles in freezer. >No plastic wrap in micro. > >Johns Hopkins has recently sent this out in their newsletters worth >noting... This information is being circulated at Walter Reed Army Medical >Center. > >Dioxin Carcinogens cause cancer, especially breast cancer. Don't freeze >your plastic water bottles with water as this also releases dioxins in the >plastic. > >Dr. Edward Fujimoto from Castle hospital was on a TV program explaining >this health hazard. (He is the manager of the Wellness Program at the >hospital.) > >He was talking about dioxins and how bad they are for us. He said that we >should not be heating our food in the microwave using plastic containers. > >This applies to foods that contain fat. He said that the combination of >fat, high heat and plastics re leases dioxins into the food and ultimately >into the cells of the body. Dioxins are carcinogens and highly toxic to >the cells of our bodies. Instead, he recommends using glass, Corning Ware, >or ceramic containers for heating food. You get the same results, without >the dioxins. > >So such things as TV dinners, instant ramen and soups, etc., should be >removed from the container and heated in something else. >Paper isn't bad but you don't know what is in the paper. It's just safer >to use tempered glass, Corning Ware, etc. He said we might remember when >some of the fast food restaurants moved away from the foam containers to >paper. The dioxin problem is one of the reasons. > >To add to this, Saran wrap placed over foods as they are nuked, with the >high heat, actually drips poisonous toxins into the food, use paper towels.

best weekend ever
on friday i went with marissa, danielle and heather to ryans house for some drinking the big suprise of the night was that will, dgray and eric were home... so everyone was happy drank some red bull and gray goose that was nice
on saturday i hung out with chris in he day time we got some wendys and cleaned my room at night marissa and danielle picked me up and we went to erics house but his dad was recurciting the house or something so there were no lights and it was raining. i had wendys again! and only drink alittle cause i was cold p.s. eric has the nicest bathrooms
on sunday adam picked me up around 3:15 and we headed to the downtown for skaoween i didnt have to pay to get in which was nice... hung around inside for like 2 hours til the doors opened and then adam left me so he could go downstairs... i hung around by myslef meeting new people and then eric holden showed up and i watched his set with sean. him and sean left because eric locked his keys in his car. while they were gone i complained to adam about being lonely and he took me downstairs to the "dressing rooms" its really creapy down there theres pipes and stuff... we drank and watched punkrock holocaust which was stupid. then it was time for the fad to go on so we headed upstairs and i watched them from the stage steps..sean kept text messaging me saying he could see me on stage which made me feel weird i didnt think anyone could see me... after they played i said goodbye to sean again and went back down stairs to drink some more. then i had to pee so adam took e to liek this hidden bathroom and it had a shower in it like why would u need at shower at the downtown? anyway i burnt my finger on the water which sucked. then i went back downstairs and waited for asob had to go on. the whole band were insanely drunk. mike (the drummer) was scared he couldnt play cause he never played drunk before. but he did amazing. i didnt care about being on stage anymore so i stood on the hand railing ledge and looked at the crowd.. the kids were amazing there was so much engery.. its so different being in the crowd and watching the crowd. i can see why bands get engery rushes from playing they live off the engery of the crowd. after the show i went to danielles house it was me, danielle, pete, gina, marissa, heff, mike and joe we watched g-string divas and critized the girls nipples then we watched freddy vs jason and the boys went home
on monday we had senior cut day we woke up at like 10:30 then we went to lighthouse and ate yum it was my first meal in 21 house so i was hungry then we went to wantagh park and played on some swing sets cravel was next then off to danielles to wash cars and wait for her sister to come home then we sat around and uploaded pictures fromt he weekend at night we did the scavenger hunt with mike, joe and heff we beat there asses like to no beleaf so now they have to buy us dinner i want to go to hooters!
so thats my weekend its election day now so go vote! i doubt anyone will read this but hey its an update on my life
